Covers
Gerhardt Christensen A/S specialises in development and design of manhole covers for footpaths, parking lots, roads, docks, airports etc. The company has extensive experience in this product area, and the solutions developed and improved along with the increasing quality and environmental demands have proved their strength during many years of wear and exposure to the elements. Among other things, Gerhardt Christensen have developed a spring assist system, which reduces the opening force to 10 – 15 kg for covers with lids weighing up to 2,000 kg.
Rabbeted
Rabbeted floor plate covers from Gerhardt Christensen A/S are made to measure and in the following standard sizes: 660 x 820 mm, 1,200 x 1,000 mm and 1,320 x 820 mm
Airport
Covers for airports are exposed to extreme loads of up to 900 kN and are subject to special safety requirements for flatness and surface structure.
Round Floor Plate Covers
Various types of covers with diameters from Ø 600 mm to Ø 3000 are available for round wells. The covers are available as 1-, 2-, or 3-piece.
Recessed
Recessed floor plate covers from Gerhardt Christensen A/S are made to measure and in the following standard sizes: 660 x 820 mm, 1,200 x 1,000 mm and 1,320 x 820 mm.
Gas-tight Rabbeted Floor Plate Cover
Gas-tight covers are used for tanks and containers to prevent nuisance from odours and to ensure that explosive gasses cannot escape.
Special
Covers for vessels and pits where vacuum tankers offload.
For odour and safety reasons, the cover is opened and closed every time offloading takes place. Hydraulics is used to open and close the cover.
